I am mainly looking for a language exchange partner to study Dutch. I currently have a B1 level; my goal is to use the Dutch language fluently (B2+). I also want to find some people who can speak Cantonese to practice with me. I can understand most of the conversations when listening to Cantonese podcasts, but I don't feel confident speaking Cantonese. Hello, I am a retired Middle School Librarian and teacher who loves Asian languages and enjoys teaching others become proficient in English. I grew up in Japan (15 years), lived in South Korea (5 years), and spent a year in Singapore before returning to the Netherlands to further my studies and work.
I am currently retired and enjoying reviving my Chinese with native speakers in exchange for English lessons. I am a firm believer in the saying “practice makes perfect”, that using a languages as often as possible is key to becoming fluent.
